My name is Anisha Gilani and I am the author of this wonderful book called Sacred. This is perhaps the most important piece of my work that I have dedicated my time to till date. I had never envisioned that I would become the author of SACRED simply because, my secular education consisted of technical knowledge in the areas of mathematics and statistics and let me assure you that poetry was never my strong suit.
The exact origin of Sacred is difficult to trace, because, life and its myriad of lessons moulds one from within in the subtlest of ways, unbeknownst even to the individual himself. It presented itself at a juncture in my life in a form of a deep loss. My father is the reason for this contemplative and spiritual journey. He is the reason, that continues to inspire me and connect me with the essence that is present in all of us.
